Criminal Justice

"One consistent research finding is that involvement in substance abuse treatment reduces recidivism for offenders who use drugs."1

Programs such as Drug Courts and Offender Re-entry initiatives have led the way with regards to the availability and quality of treatment for offenders.

To ensure that the services these programs provide are delivered as efficiently and effectively as possible to those in need, treatment providers and the criminal justice system have been turning to process improvement tools for support.

NIATx has been providing technical assistance to drug courts and offender reentry programs looking to increase access to and retention in evidence-based programs and treatment.
