As a grantee for two NIATx initiatives, the state of Florida became a laboratory for rapid-cycle process improvement. To support agencies and providers involved in NIATx initiatives, the state developed the Florida Learning System.

Opioid Treatment Provider Pilot Success Story: Claymont Treatment Center
The Claymont Treatment Center change team discovered that 50 percent of their discharges were patients who had been in treatment less than 90 days. Their goal was to increase continuation in treatment.

"Disseminating quality improvement: Study protocol for a large cluster randomized trial"
NIATx 200 was a large-scale cluster randomized trial of 201 addiction treatment programs. The study tested the treatment organizations' use of four different NIATx interventions to reduce waiting times and increase admissions and continuation.

Business Operations for Behavioral Health Collaborative
The National Council for Community Behavioral Healthcare, the National Association of Community Health Centers, NIATx, and the State Associations of Addiction Services (SAAS) have come together with SAMHSA funding to form the Business Operations for Behavioral Health Collaborative. Its mission is to provide cross-cutting, high quality training, educational opportunities, and resources for service providers to implement efficient and cost effective business solutions.
