NIATx understands your concerns about how the information we gather is used and shared. While we automatically collect information about your computer and Internet request, we do not collect any personal information about you when you visit our site unless you choose to provide the information. This Privacy Policy describes what types of information we gather and how we use and protect that information.
If you choose to send us e-mail or fill out a Web-based form, that information is stored in an employee's e-mail or in an on-line database. We use that information to respond to your request or to provide interaction on our Web site. We do not use any of the information you send us for commercial marketing purposes. However, because UW-Madison is a state institution, we are subject to Wisconsin Open Records Law. We may be obligated to make our records available if an appropriate open records request is submitted.
You may provide us your name, billing address and credit card information when purchasing a product through our web site. Your name and order information, except credit card information, are stored on an employee computer so we can process your order. Credit card information is passed directly to the credit card processing service and is not stored on our server or any of our employees' computers.
We comply with the Federal Trade Commission 1998 Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) (http://www.ftc.gov/ogc/coppa1.htm) and Wisconsin Open Records Law. The laws of the state of Wisconsin govern this privacy policy.
