Forum Guidelines

Posted by daveg on Friday, June 23, 2017 at 02:00 PM

The purpose of this support forum is to provide a place for all NIATx members to help each other by exchanging ideas, tips and information.

Everyone is essential in an online community. By visiting and participating often you not only add to the user-created knowledgebase, but also encourage others to do the same. If you come with your toughest issues, you'll probably be able to find someone that has the same problem or can point you in the right direction. Then if you're able to find a solution, you can add your own insights and experience. Chances are that you may have an answer someone else has been seeking.

While anyone can browse and search the forum for information, only registered NIATx users can post new questions, answers or comments.

We really don't want to impose strict rules - but we do need to maintain a healthy forum. To create a community you'll feel comfortable participating in, we've listed some quick guidelines for the benefit of everyone using this website.

Do

  • Use a descriptive title for your posts

  • Read other responses before posting

  • Ask for clarification when necessary

  • Contribute to the discussion

  • Be as concise as possible

  • Stay on topic

  • Remain positive

  • Try to understand opposing viewpoints

Don't

  • Use vague titles like "Help"

  • Repeat information already provided

  • Offer advice on unfamiliar topics

  • Get off topic

  • Spam the site with links to other sites

  • Argue with other posters

  • Use foul language or off-color humor

  • Intentionally misrepresent yourself in the forum

Remember that online communities should be friendly, informative and appropriate for everyone.

Thanks for the guidelines. I think having descriptive titles will be really helpful to find things.
