NIATx Change Leader Academy sparks agency-wide improvement in Vermont state agency

The Vermont Agency of Human Services provides an array of services for Vermonters, including assistance in accessing healthcare, child protective services, addiction treatment and recovery services, health promotion and disease prevention services, and assistance for the elderly and disabled. The agency sent seven staff members to a NIATx Change Leader Academy in 2010.

As Nancy H. Simoes, Professional Development Administrator for the agency reports,

“Right now we have 36 change projects underway with 177 staff involved with these change teams across the agency.  We will be holding a quality fair in December to showcase our results to top management and training a new group of change leaders after the first of the year.  We are using our quality improvement efforts as part of our overall performance management framework in the agency and one of our aspirations is to move toward a continuous improvement workplace culture.

Thanks for helping us get our start!”

Build a culture of improvement in your organization by attending a NIATx Change Leader Academy in one of three locations across the country this fall!
