"We were worried that you didn’t come to your appointment.”

One of the most popular features of the NIATx website is our section on Promising Practices: more than 70 step-by-step strategies for improving your organization’s business practices.

One of our top promising practices (as measured by web page visits) in the past year is  “Follow-up with No-shows.”  As you’ll note, following up with clients and addressing the reasons why they fail to attend can really improve no-show rates.

You can also read more real-world applications of NIATx promising practices by checking out our Success Stories: a quick search by NIATx aim (Reduce no-shows) brings up 183 stories from organizations across the country.

NIATx is always seeking new success stories to add to our inventory. Have you tried this or other NIATx promising practices in your organization? Did you adapt the promising practice to your agency’s unique culture?  We’d love to hear from you—share your story by contacting Maureen Fitzgerald, NIATx E-news Editor, at maureen.fitzgerald@wisc.edu
