NIATx is pleased to announce that we’ve signed on as a partner organization for UNITE to Face Addiction: a grassroots advocacy effort to increase awareness of addiction as a preventable, treatable condition, and that people can and do get well.

UNITE to Face Addiction is organizing a rally on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, October 4, 2015. The full weekend of activities will include events on October 3 and an advocacy day on Capitol Hill on October 5.

Greg Williams, producer of the film “The Anonymous People” is the Campaign Director for the project. Pat Taylor, former director of Faces and Voices of Recovery, leads the outreach team as the Community Outreach Coordinator, and Thomas McLellan, Chairman Emeritus of Treatment Research Institute and former deputy director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, heads the steering committee.

Watch for updates about this exciting initiative and how you can get involved in the weeks ahead!
