NIATx has been awarded a $400,000 NIDA grant that will focus on engaging the NIATx network of more than 2500 providers in community-based participatory research.
The goal is to create a national community of treatment and recovery support providers who can inform the national research agenda and engage in research related to improving care. The project will use the community-based participatory research model to identify, adopt, and disseminate evidence-based practices. It will also create an electronic data collection, communication, and information infrastructure to support and sustain the community in its research efforts.
Kim Johnson is the principal investigator for this project, which will begin in October 2010.
