NIATx has launched an initiative to help substance abuse treatment providers gain research skills and knowledge and adopt evidence-based practices. With funding from NIDA, this project, titled Building a Sustainable National Infrastructure for Research and Dissemination of Improved Behavioral Health Treatment Practices will create an Internet-based network for research on and the spread of the practices that science has proven to be most effective in treating people with substance use disorders.
Through this project, we’ll connect substance abuse treatment professionals from across the country with research and with each other, using the latest web-based technology. This system will support a national community of providers capable of participating in research to improve treatment systems.
We’ve developed a survey to identify needs and interests of agencies in the field. Information from the survey will also help us create the Internet-based information and communication system.
Please help us by completing the survey by August 30, 2011. You may need about five minutes to fill out the survey. All survey results will remain confidential and will be used for research purposes only.
