CSAT Offender Re-Entry Program
Project Description

Project Aims

  • Reduce wait time from release to first treatment session.
  • Increase retention of clients through second session.
  • Increase community referral volume and admissions.

Summary

In this project, five grantees in the CSAT Offender Reentry Program are participating in a NIATx Learning Collaborative.

Their goal is to use the NIATx model to increase released offenders' access to and retention in treatment and community resources that support their recovery.

This project began with a kick-off learning session in September 2011. Teams of executive, administrative, and clinical staff from each of the five sites received training on the NIATx Model and began developing change projects. Over the course of the project the teams will participate in monthly webinars to discuss their change projects, promising practices, and innovations for their programs. Each site is also receiving support from an expert NIATx coach to guide and support their change project activities.
