The Open Society Foundation has awarded NIATx a two-year $400,000 grant to prepare the addiction field for changes expected due to health care reform, parity legislation, state budget shortfalls, and the increased focus on performance accountability.

Addiction treatment providers will also need to get ready to work more closely with the general health care system and accountable care organizations.

As part of the grant, NIATx will be offering informational webinars (through the ACTION Campaign) regional provider readiness trainings, and technical assistance to states.

For more information or if your state is interested in participating in grant-related trainings and technical assistance, please contact Todd Molfenter, NIATx Deputy Director, at todd.molfenter@chess.wisc.edu
