Forms of buprenorphine
Buprenorphine is available in both generic and commercial forms. Commonly prescribed forms combine buprenorphine with naloxone. Naloxone, which blocks the effects of opioids, was added to prevent misuse of buprenorphine. In addition to the table below, see buprenorphine formulations described in this presentation.
