In this presentation, the presenters discuss the nature and importance of effective patient and front desk procedure at the time of patient check-in. Regalado and Hagen also review the benefit authorization processes and their relevance to billing along with patient check-out and co-insurance collections.
February 1, 2011 Capturing the service and clinical documentation
This presentation can be broken down into three parts: context tools, and process. Under the first segment, Regalado and Hagen discuss the quality of care, revenue optimization, and compliance. The next segment of the presentation focuses on records, systems, templates, and billing forms. To conclude, Regalado and Hagen present information on the processes of clinical documentation and coding.
